On September 11, 1782 while under siege at Fort Henry in Wheeling, Virginia (which would later become West Virginia), Betty Zane helped approximately 100 Ohio Valley settlers defeat 300 of the King's Special Forces by making her historic run of 50 yards under heavy gunfire to retrieve gunpowder. Against all odds, she returned safely and the course of the American Revolution was forever changed. Zane Run did their best to harness that same tenacity, attitude, and dedication into a musical force. Born in the shadows of rusted steel mills and shuttered coal mines, Zane Run aimed to exemplify what hard work and dedication mean.
